Everything you need to know about ArmorCell™ PCM passive cooling systems. Can't find your answer? Contact us!
PCM (Phase Change Material) substances store or release large amounts of thermal energy when transitioning between solid and liquid states. The specialized PCM compound inside ArmorCell™ modules absorbs heat by melting (solid→liquid) when ambient temperature rises, providing cooling. When the environment cools, it solidifies again, releasing stored energy. The entire process requires zero electricity — only physics.
Conventional systems continuously consume electricity and have moving parts (compressors, fans, motors) that wear out and require regular maintenance. ArmorCell™ operates with zero electricity, zero moving parts, and zero maintenance. With a 15+ year lifespan, the total cost of ownership (TCO) is up to 40% lower than traditional systems.
No. The PCM compounds used in ArmorCell™ modules have been tested through over 10,000 thermal cycles (solid↔liquid) with no performance degradation over 15+ years. Chemically stable organic or inorganic PCMs are used. No replacement or renewal is required.
ArmorCell™ modules are manufactured with customizable melting points between 18°C and 60°C. Specific melting points can be selected based on your project requirements (food cooling, electronics thermal management, military inventory, etc.). Our engineering team will recommend the optimal PCM formulation.

Standard Mini and Pro models: 3–7 business days depending on stock. Max and custom design projects vary by scope — typically 2–6 weeks. A confirmed delivery date is provided at order time.
Mini: Snap-fit system — installs in minutes, no tools or technical expertise required. Pro: Standard bolt mounting, basic electrician/technician level is sufficient. Max: On-site engineering and commissioning support is included in the package.
No. ArmorCell™ systems have no moving parts. There are no compressors, fans, or filters that wear out and need servicing. No annual maintenance, lubrication, or filter changes required under standard use. This minimizes operational costs.
Yes. The Pro model comes with IP65, and the Max model is optionally available with IP66/67 protection. This provides protection against dust, moisture, and water jets. Contact our engineering team for harsh climate conditions or special environmental requirements.
Because pricing varies by model, PCM specification, quantity, and project scope, we don't publish a fixed price list. Use the online quote form or call us for a project-specific quote. Volume discounts are available.
